6 Things to do with your Kids when your Husband is away on Business Trip

Whether I like it or not business trip would be part of my husband job and I know it when we were friends. Usually hubby is away on business trip and it takes 1 week or 3 weeks, it all depends what country he's going. The longest days for me is when he is going in Asia for business trip and stayed 2 days at home then go back to another trip in South America.
I'm so happy if hubby is away just 4 days but lately he's gone for a month and it's hard for Marz.  So here are the things I enjoy while hubby is away on business trip.
6 things to do with your kids when your husband is away on Business trip:
1.I'm not guilty on going shopping and purchase expensive stuffs while he is away on business trip.
2. I don't need to cook.
3. Sleep over with friend's house so Little M would have fun with her friends.
4. Watch Filipino show on our TV while playing with Little M.
5. Enjoying my hobby when my daughter's out cold.
6. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Life at home is different without the presence of my husband and it sucks. Believe me!

How to choose the right dinnerware?

Buying a new dinnerware is not easy as I thought. How to choose the dinnerware is tough and it took a month before I bought what I want.Basically, my husband and I are considered what we both want.

This is our first dinner plates we bought as a couple. My husband bought the dinnerware when he was single, the first one was heavy so he decided to get rid of it and bought a new dinnerware before I moved to his place which was my favourite color red ;)

We moved to our new place were my husband and I decided not to bring some of our old furnitures, plates, and etc so furnishing the new place is fun and tough at the same time.

Make a decision:
It's tough to make a decision when it is a team. You need to consider their ideas and come up the best of it.

Everyday Use:
We know these  plates would be our everyday use so we want that is not boring or get old looking. My husband and I are not big in trendy stuff, buying stuff we both like is our top preference.

Our top priority were  simple: elegant looking, light weight, chip-resistant microwave and dishwasher safe.

  • Bone of China
  • Porcelain
  • Stoneware
  • Glass
  • Earthenware
  • Ironstone
Settings you need:
At first its hard to decide how many settings we need to buy, as you may know I have a small family so I ended up buying 9 settings.

Choosing the right dinnerware is not easy considering the cost.I just closed my eyes when I bought mine.

House Warming Gifts from a friend

I can't imagine we're almost a year in our new house and we didn't do a house warming party yet. Some of my friends were asking when I'm going to have a house warming-I'll be honest I don't know yet. Too many things I need to do in our house and we need to buy more furniture and stuff for our house. I am not in hurry  to furnish our house. Husband and I are taking are sweet days and enjoy what we have.

As I  read "housewarming party is a party traditionally held within approximately 90 days of moving into a new residence." I guess there is no reason to have a party then.hehehe
Well, my daughter was excited with the gift bag colors.

Well, one of my husband friends gave a house warming gifts although we don't have one. I was tickle with his gifts. His simple thought are much appreciated.
She gave 3 kitchen dish towel and a hand soap. The soap smells so good and I like the mild scent on it.
This is included in her gift and I so love the purpose of this tray.Either use as display or I can use a soap tray.It compliments in our decor which is silver.
You know I love candle. This candle has a mild scent which I like most.

For J and his wife. Thank you so much for the gifts you gave to us. I greatly appreciate your simple gesture. Hopefully we can get together pretty soon.

Why choosing the right paint color isn't easy?

I asked my husband why choosing the right paint color isn't easy? because we both want a flow and we are not afraid of colors. In fact it's not easy because we don't want it to re-paint every now and then that's why we ended up hiring an interior decorator. Playing with colors is okay once in a while, my husband said.

Time Consuming:
Choosing the right paint color  isn't easy, it's an investment that you need to consider before investing your furniture and decor. Color has an important rule so don't ignore it. Take your time and consult professional if you don't have any skills to do it.

Save your money:
Picking or just playing around with colors is expensive and at the end you're not happy with the colors that painted in your house. You can re-paint many times  you want and it cost more than  hiring an interior decorator and be done at once.

Elegant looking:
You want that results that your friend would say "Wow" colors gives a huge difference in your house.Whether you like it or not, it is the most people notice when they enter in your house.

My Experience:
As a homeowner,I ended up hiring an interior decorator and I learnt so many things about choosing the right paint color in our home. Considering my husband and I weren't scared with colors, the interior decorator told us we need at least three colors or else our house looks like a crayon.I just done selecting the top three colors in our house and I'm so excited and can't wait to see the house painted with our favourite colors.

Why you should hire an Interior Decorator?

This was my first question to my husband, why you should hire and Interior Decorator? Why bother? I have my own preferences so why do we need to spend money in hiring an Interior Decorator.I know I'm capable of what I want but my husband wants to have flow and looks rich.

I know what I can do for my own house and what I  can't do. I'm no expert of color selections that would flow.My MIL's hired and interior decorator for her house and it looks cleaner and once you enter her house you'll amazed and loves it.

Color Selections:
My house is like a ranch style which has an open lay out from kitchen to great room to dining room and morning room. My husband and I struggling with the right color that flows together. The great room has a fireplace stone that has three different colors. We want to make sure that everything flows with what we have.

Save money:
I know hiring an interior decorator cost  money. If you look at in the bright side it saved you money. Purchasing  the important  things like furniture, paint selection, curtain helps you to save money rather than experimenting of what goes together at the end you ended up of selling because it doesn't look good in your house.

Most people says, ask for an expert.Hiring an interior decorator is the right person who can help figuring out what you really want in your place. They have full of ideas and go to  school to be the right person.

Figure out what you want in your Place:
If you are like us, who had so many things we want in our place and had a hard times to figuring out so hiring an interior decorator would help you to decide that suit to your lifestyle.
